Ryan Seacrest, commonly known for his hosting role on American Idol, has held several positions in broadcast and cable television. He also has nationally syndicated radio and local radio shows. He is now joining the Emmy-winning team at “Live” as a fixed co-host with Kelly Ripa.
While his entrepreneurial interests have led him to media, his philanthropic efforts has had an impact nationwide. The Ryan Seacrest Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring today’s youth through entertainment and education focused efforts. They build out broadcast media centers named “Seacrest Studios” in pediatric hospitals for patients to be able to explore the realms of News Media, TV and radio. They collaborate with local journalism schools providing patients with hands on experience in broadcasting, programming and operating.
Ryan Seacrest is also the host of “On Air with Ryan Seacrest,” a #1 ranked nationally-syndicated Los Angeles morning show for iHeart Media’s 102.7 KIIS-FM station. Not only this show but another nationally-syndicated Top 40 radio show. He is heavily involved in “E! Live from the Red Carpet award” shows as well.
In 2006, Ryan launched Ryan Seacrest Productions (RSP), which has becoming an Emmy-winning entertainment production powerhouse creating both scripted and unscripted programming. One of the production companies biggest hit shows are “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and all of its spin-offs, as well as “Shades of Blue” on NBC starring Jennifer Lopez, and “Shahs of Sunset” to name a few. He is also a big investor in several media and entertainment companies.
Almost 5 years ago, in 2014, Ryan Seacrest launched a men’s tailored clothing and accessories collection, Ryan Seacrest Distinction, sold exclusively at Macy’s. It has been a huge success at the department store. He also has plans for a skincare line partnering with a Hollywood dermatologist by the name of Dr. Harold Lancer. There are many things on the horizon for Seacrest as he is someone who is not going away anytime soon.
